Finding tunes that fit

Tunes can say what we can't speak.

"No one is alone" from Sondheim's Into the Woods. It utterly destroys me

“People make mistakes. Fathers, brothers, terrible mistakes, holding to their own, thinking they're alone.”

I played this song for my mom before she got on the plane back to Ohio. She would not heal from her childhood wounds, and I had no idea of their existence until this visit. My therapist deftly pushed back down all that my mother blurted out about what had happened to her as a girl. She would not, could not, remember again such ugly things

Pavane for a Dead Princess doesn't fit as well as it did, with identifying who I am. It fit me during the many many years of mourning what happened to me.

Be original, show off your style, and tell your story.”

Yeah, so what does this mean, anyway?

Omigosh, how is this the first time I have heard Lyle Mays "Long Life"
